Vintage Volts is proud to partner with Porto Aviation Group, bringing some of the most advanced high-performance light aircraft in the world to the Scandinavian market.
Founded in 1994, Porto Aviation Group originally specialized in the production of gliders and quickly gained recognition for technical innovation, including the development of one of the first gliders capable of autonomous take-off. Over the years the company expanded its focus toward designing and producing high-efficiency aircraft built around cutting-edge aerodynamic research.
At the heart of Porto Aviation is a team of engineers and aviation professionals with deep expertise in fluid dynamics and aerodynamics. The company’s engineering roots trace back to Porto Ricerca, a consultancy firm that has collaborated with leading organizations in automotive racing, aerospace and marine engineering. Through projects with Formula 1 teams such as Scuderia Ferrari and Minardi, as well as partnerships with major aerospace manufacturers including Piaggio Aerospace and Pilatus Aircraft, Porto Ricerca developed the aerodynamic expertise that ultimately led to the creation of the Risen aircraft.
The result of this experience is the Risen SuperVeloce — one of the fastest aircraft in its category. Combining exceptional aerodynamic efficiency with lightweight design and modern engineering, the Risen has set new standards for performance in the light aircraft segment.
The first prototype flew in March 2012, and after extensive testing the aircraft was publicly unveiled at the global aviation exhibition AERO Friedrichshafen in 2015. Later that same year the Risen set a world speed record in its class, reaching over 323 km/h with a standard Rotax ULS 100 hp engine.
